About The Position
The Endo/GI Tech applies principles of aseptic technique theories to equipment preparation and maintenance and assists with procedures. The role includes preventive maintenance of procedure supplies and equipment, performing pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for all endoscopes, and following established protocols for reprocessing equipment.
Requirements
- Travel experience, targeting travelers who have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- 2 years of experience required.
Nice To Haves
- HLD certification is highly encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Disassembles, identifies defective or malfunctioning parts, and provides preventive maintenance for all procedure supplies and equipment.
- Performs pre-cleaning requirements, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and identifying needed repairs for all endoscopes.
- Determines methods of High-Level Disinfection for products based on material and manufacturer's instructions.
- Checks and calibrates equipment according to protocol.
- Performs ambulatory technician duties, such as obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
