About The Position

We are looking for an experienced, reliable chairside Endo Dental Assistant to support the endodontist during root canal procedures and specialty endodontic treatments. This is a hands-on, in-person role scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The assistant also helps patients understand recommended treatment and related costs, and ensures they are scheduled for follow-up care before leaving. The office operates with full schedules, and the assistant supports clinical and scheduling needs across the team. The position requires dependable, on-time attendance for the full scheduled shift, professional and respectful conduct, focus on patients during care, and a team-first attitude. The assistant must be comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements, take ownership of keeping the provider’s schedule filled, and maintain clean scrubs and professional personal hygiene. Chairside work requires extended sitting or standing, repeated bending, leaning, twisting and reaching, fine motor control, repetitive hand and arm movements, close-range vision and hearing, clear communication, and moving between operatories and other office areas. The role involves lifting and moving supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds, wearing protective equipment, and exposure to blood, saliva, radiation, disinfectants, and dental materials while following safety protocols. The hiring process includes a phone screen and an in-office working interview. At least two supervisor references are requested, and prior employers may be contacted regarding attendance, dependability, and teamwork. Offers are contingent on satisfactory reference and background checks. New team members complete a 90-day introductory period.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of chairside dental assisting experience.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Reliable, regular, predictable, and on-time attendance for the full scheduled shift.
  • Ability to perform chairside work in person and remain focused on patient care.
  • Professional, positive, respectful, and team-oriented conduct, including openness to feedback.
  • Comfort discussing costs clearly and confidently without pressuring patients or avoiding the conversation.
  • Ability to schedule from the chair, confirm appointments, and address open schedule slots.
  • Professional presentation, personal hygiene, grooming, and clean scrubs each shift.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of chairside work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, often four or more hours at a time.
  • Ability to bend, lean, twist, and repeatedly reach over patients.
  • Fine motor control and a steady grip to pass instruments, suction, mix materials, and take impressions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements for the length of a procedure.
  • Close-range vision, including ability to see detail, depth, and color.
  • Ability to hear and respond to the dentist and patients while wearing a mask and working around equipment noise.
  • Ability to speak clearly to instruct patients and explain treatment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds.
