About The Position

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the End User Support Specialist in the Information Management Division. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: The End User Support Specialist provides comprehensive desktop and end-user technical support for agency staff in an enterprise environment. This position is responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees, managing user accounts and access rights, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, and ensuring timely resolution of customer service requests. The position also supports Audio/Visual equipment, assists with hardware and software deployments/installations, maintains documentation and job aids, and collaborates with internal IT teams to ensure effective delivery of IT support services. The business needs for this position have in office requirements to include but are not limited to in -person internal and external stakeholder meetings, and training. Located in beautiful Central Virginia, the Richmond area puts you just 2 hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia Beach and Washington DC. Requirements

  • Experience performing user management within Active Directory.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and enterprise desktop support practices.
  • Experience creating technical documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.
  • Experience analyzing, interpretating and applying of federal, state laws/regulations.
  • Experience meeting deadlines.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting computer and computer peripherals.
  • Experience supporting Audio/Visual technologies.
  • Experience using help desk ticketing and request tracking systems.
  • Experience with software installation and deployment tools.
