About The Position

The End Line Technician is a Machine Operator responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical End Line equipment. This role ensures the overall production of machines and quality meet specification sheets. The technician will also be responsible for locating and clearing jams, interpreting control panel messages, assisting with machinery servicing and problem-solving, and supporting the maintenance team during line changeovers. Additionally, the role involves training or assisting other employees on production duties, including product changes, housekeeping, and visual quality checks. The technician must comply with all Health & Safety regulations, environmental requirements (ISO 14001, BRC), and perform any reasonable duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Good Mechanical aptitude is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of US measurement.
  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize own work.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environment protection regulations.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines.
  • Mobility to cover expansive manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the shell press, liners and conversion press.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure overall production of machines and quality according to specification sheets.
  • Perform basic repairs on the equipment.
  • Read and understand the information contained on the PO sheet.
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished ends.
  • Locate and clear basic jams that may occur on the machines during Production.
  • Correctly read and interpret messages/statuses on the control panels.
  • Assist with regular servicing and solving of problems regarding machinery.
  • Actively support the maintenance team during line changeover.
  • Train or assist other employees on the daily practices of Production related duties, such as Product changes, housekeeping and visual quality checks.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
  • Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the management staff, corresponding with the role.
