About The Position

This is a night shift position (7pm to 7am, C crew) for a Machine Operator who will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the mechanical End Line equipment. The role ensures the overall production of machines and quality according to specification sheets. Responsibilities include performing basic repairs, reading and understanding information on PO sheets, checking the accuracy and quality of finished ends, and clearing basic jams. The technician will also interpret messages/statuses on control panels, assist with regular servicing and problem-solving for machinery, and support the maintenance team during line changeovers. Additionally, the role involves training or assisting other employees on daily production duties such as product changes, housekeeping, and visual quality checks. Basic knowledge of the shell press, liners, and conversion press is required. The position also mandates compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, environmental requirements (ISO 14001 and BRC), and performing any reasonable duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Good Mechanical aptitude is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of US measurement.
  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize own work.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environment protection regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the shell press, liners and conversion press.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure overall Production of machines and quality according to specification sheets.
  • Ability to do basic repairs on the equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand the information contained on the PO sheet.
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished ends.
  • Locate and clear basic jams that may occur on the machines during Production.
  • Correctly read and interpret messages/statuses on the control panels.
  • Assist with regular servicing and solving of problems regarding machinery.
  • Actively support the maintenance team during line changeover.
  • Train or assist other employees on the daily practices of Production related duties, such as but not limited to, Product changes, housekeeping and visual quality checks.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
  • Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the management staff, corresponding with the role.
