About The Position

Encapsys, now a part of Milliken & Company, is seeking student interns and co-ops for the 2027 calendar year to join their team in Appleton, WI. This is a competitively paid position for students in Chemical Engineering, Material Science/Engineering, Biology/Microbiology, or Chemistry programs. Encapsys, a leader in encapsulation technologies within the Fragrance and Agriculture segments, offers students opportunities to build strong resumes by matching individual interests with available projects. These projects involve a high level of responsibility and have significant impacts on the bottom line. Students will work on both collaborative and independent projects under the guidance of engineer/scientist project leaders, with each student assigned a mentor. Research and development is crucial to Encapsys's leadership in the encapsulation market, with ongoing investment enabling the development of core competencies and business growth. The intern will work approximately 12-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during school breaks and summer.

Requirements

  • Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs, rising Juniors and Seniors preferred: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology / Microbiology, Material Science/Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Designing, planning, conducting and analyzing lab experiments
  • Partnering with engineers/scientists on Lab, pilot or production experimental trials
  • Producing written summary reports and presentations
  • Evaluating trial products
