About The Position

Perform complex automatic machine operation functions in multiple work locations in support of HWP production goals, quality standards, and cGMP requirements. This is a nonexempt position reporting to the Shift Supervisor. Specific tasks are clearly defined by work instructions for each operation within the job rotation. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time. This role is based in Clackamas, OR [IFF, CKS]. Requirements

  • Ability to read and write & communicate in English
  • Use basic shop math skills
  • Use algebra
  • Basic computer skills
  • A legal right to work in the United States
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Be physically present at the designated job location for the assigned shift
  • Successfully pass all required job‑related tests and certifications for working in a cGMP, quality environment, including inspections and GMP requirements, and re‑qualify as required

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Target industries include pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, electronic, chemical, cosmetics and food.
  • Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex automatic machine operation functions in multiple work locations in support of HWP production goals, quality standards, and cGMP requirements
  • Operate an automatic encapsulation machine
  • Perform set‑up and breakdown of machines and fixtures for processing based on specific guidelines for each machine and part, including installation, changes, and adjustments to fixtures, which may require the use of hand tools
  • Make minor, simple machine adjustments during processing, which may require the use of hand tools
  • Move and/or stack buckets of materials and load tubs of materials to work centers as applicable
  • Visually and manually inspect capsules based on inspection guidelines to ensure quality standards
  • Identify and correct conditions that are not conducive to a safe, clean workplace and immediately report any safety issues
  • Complete documentation accurately and legibly in accordance with established guidelines
  • Demonstrate effective problem‑solving skills
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including cleaning machines, performing machine breakdowns, and organizing tools and the area around the workstation
  • Recognize out‑of‑control events, discontinue operations, and resume work only after the issue has been successfully resolved
  • Be physically present at the designated job location for the assigned shift
  • Train others and/or participate in task forces to improve company procedures or operations as requested
  • Work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Successfully pass all required job‑related tests and certifications for working in a cGMP, quality environment, including inspections and GMP requirements, and re‑qualify as required
