About The Position
We are seeking an experienced En Route ATC supervisory candidate to fill a Full-time, Training Instructional Supervisor position on the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team. This role involves supervising on-site Air Traffic Controller training services in the En Route Domain at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. The En Route Domain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of contractor personnel providing instructional support within the Initial En Route Training branch. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is committed to ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism from air traffic control specialists, and a well-trained workforce is crucial for this. The FAA employs over 14,000 air traffic controllers who manage the separation of more than 50,000 aircraft daily in the National Airspace System (NAS). To meet training needs, the FAA provides initial and recurrent training to air traffic control specialists, utilizing contractor-provided instructional services across the U.S. and its Territories. The scope of these services includes all training and support necessary to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers, covering all types and levels of ATC facilities.
