About The Position

EMTs are responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and professional emergency and non-emergency medical care and transportation to patients. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in fast-paced and stressful situations. Premier provides non-emergency, 9-1-1 ambulance services and participates in regular strike team deployments.

Requirements

Current California EMT certification
Valid California Driver's License
Valid California Ambulance Driver Certificate
Driving record that meets company and insurance requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced EMS environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care within the EMT scope of practice
Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical transportation assignments
Assess, monitor, and appropriately care for patients
Safely transport patients to designated healthcare facilities
Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and medical supplies
Complete accurate patient care and required operational documentation
Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, dispatch, and other emergency personnel
Maintain a clean, safe, and properly stocked ambulance
Remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
Follow company policies, clinical protocols, and applicable laws and regulations
