About The Position

The EMT responds to routine and emergency calls and provides medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all age groups within the scope of EMT-I training. The role requires working under stressful conditions in all types of weather and the ability to prioritize work assignments.

Requirements

• High school education.
• Completion of a state-approved EMT-I course of study.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Current Georgia certification.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Proficiency in patient care skills within the scope of practice.
• Working knowledge of basic computer applications.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions in all types of weather.
• Motor coordination, manual dexterity, and physical condition sufficient to lift, carry, extricate, and administer care to patients.
• Near and far visual acuity necessary for driving a vehicle during the day or night; corrective lenses are permitted.
