About The Position
The EMT-Paramedic assesses and provides basic management for medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of a staff nurse and/or physician. The role assists with patient care according to individual patient needs and within the paramedic’s scope of practice, under the direct supervision of the ER Registered Nurse. The position is per diem and as needed, with 12-hour shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
Requirements
- Basic EMT-P Registry required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate required upon hire and must be maintained.
- CPI certification required within six months of hire and must be maintained annually.
- ACLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
- PALS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
Nice To Haves
- Emergency room experience preferred.
