About The Position
This role is accountable for the delivery of patient care in the pre-hospital setting and the restocking and cleanliness of ambulances. The position also includes any duties as assigned by the EMS Coordinator. The focus is on delivering emergency medical care within the scope of practice and Medical Director approved protocols. The role requires the ability to respond "En Route" with an ambulance within 10 minutes of a page out. For those living more than 10 minutes from the ambulance garage, staying in provided ambulance housing is required.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- No DUI or felony convictions
- Clean driving record
- Required – BLS certification (can be provided by WRHS)
- Attended a certified EMT course and pass the National Registry EMT CAT testing exam and practical exam (for EMT)
- Current ND NREMT - Paramedic Licensure (for Paramedic)
- Required – BLS, ACLS, NREMT (for Paramedic)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience preferred (for Paramedic)
