About The Position

EMS Unlimited is seeking motivated and positive professionals to fill our roster for the 2026 Fire Season. We are a growing and professional provider of ambulance transport, medical standby, event staffing, and other EMS-related services. We pride ourselves on teamwork, patient care, customer service, and representing our industry professionally. As a Paramedic-owned and operated organization, we understand the expectations of an EMS job and are looking for new team members to help us expand and improve.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Current 2026 RT-130/Pack Test.
  • National Registry EMT.
  • Complete S-190, S-130, S-110, and L-180.
  • Complete ICS-100 and IS-700.
  • Pass arduous pack test (documentation from another agency within 6 months is acceptable).
  • Attend EMSU fire camp annually.
  • Complete a fire shelter deployment (at fire camp).
  • Be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • IV Certification
  • 233 Fire Line Paramedic Course
  • Low and/or high angle rope rescue (Required for REM Team)
  • UTV and four wheel drive experience (UTV training required for REM team)

Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of requesting agencies for wildland fires.
  • Serve as a Line Medic, assigned to a task force on the fire line, hiking with the team, assisting where needed, and being available for medical emergencies.
  • Serve as Ambulance personnel, staged within the task force region, available for emergency transport.
  • Serve as REM personnel, assisting task force teams with technical rescues or transports.
  • Attend daily medical leader check-ins and task force debriefs.
  • Complete communication check-ins as required.
  • Administer basic life support to patients in a prehospital setting.
  • Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
  • Maintain order at scenes, including crowd disbursement.
  • Complete patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and all other forms competently and timely.
  • Conduct medical equipment inventory.
  • Clean, organize, and restock supplies in a ready condition after each use.
  • Maintain accurate records of requests for emergent and non-emergent first aid and medical care.
  • Document each customer/patient interaction on the approved Patient Care Report.
  • Handle radio communications professionally and efficiently, respecting confidentiality.
  • Work cooperatively with assisting agencies.
  • Protect the privacy of all patient information.
  • Complete/carry-out other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure work area sanitation, readiness, and adherence to quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses.
  • Assure that all certifications, licenses, and registrations are up-to-date.
  • Conduct oneself in a courteous, helpful, dignified, and professional manner at all times.

Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $23-$30.62/hr
  • Predicted average day rate $502-$664
  • Daily Stipends for REM assignments
  • Overtime is paid as required by law
  • Mileage reimbursement (must be approved prior to expense)
