About The Position

The part-time EMS Skills Lab Aid is responsible for assisting EMS Instructors in the classroom, clinical, vehicular and learning lab settings. This role involves supporting the preparation and setup of training equipment, assisting with practical skills labs and examinations, organizing and inventorying medical supplies, and performing other related duties as assigned. The position requires adherence to college policies and procedures, knowledge of EMS program regulations, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Current State of Arizona Paramedic/EMT
• Current National Registry Paramedic/EMT Certification
• One-year EMS experience
• Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
• Knowledge of accreditation and certifying agency’s regulations and standards for EMS programs
• Knowledge of EMS scope of practice
• Knowledge of Emergency Medical/Paramedic profession
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
• Ability to relate to a diverse population and to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students and the public
