About The Position

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week, with a potential to increase to 32 hours) that offers a hybrid work environment with variable shifts, primarily days, but with flexibility for some evenings and weekend hours. The role involves assisting with program initiatives, acting as a liaison for specified programs, and requires experience as a Paramedic to teach EMS operations courses, including pediatric care, trauma systems, and EMS education. Familiarity with Missouri EMS continuing education requirements, CEU accreditation processes, and CAPCE standards is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Paramedic to teach EMS operations courses (pediatric care, trauma systems, and EMS education).
  • Familiarity with Missouri EMS continuing education requirements and CEU accreditation processes.
  • Working knowledge of CAPCE standards, documentation, and compliance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational and outreach environment.
  • No experience required (This seems to contradict the Paramedic experience requirement, but is stated under 'EXPERIENCE').
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.

Responsibilities

  • Documents and tracks program progress compared to goals.
  • Performs work assignments in support of program.
  • Maintains relationships with community resources, referral sources, agencies, and associations pertaining to program.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of communication and program plans.
  • Coordinates meetings and maintains event calendar.
  • May coordinate and train volunteer staff.
  • Ensures program operates within the scope of the grant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
