About The Position

The EMS Manager is responsible for cultivating and expanding daily relationships with EMS partners who transport patients to and from HSA hospitals. This role involves close collaboration with the Hospital's EMS Medical Director to support their duties and to actively develop Affiliate services. The manager will also oversee other EMS business and relationships within HSA through formal contractual agreements. Serving as a liaison to the hospital's Executive Team, the EMS Manager will address all matters related to EMS operations and will proactively work to enhance cooperation, integration, and coordination with local EMS services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in EMS knowledge, a reputation for collaborative work, innovation, and team building, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Critical thinking abilities are essential for strengthening and growing business relationships.

Requirements

• Strong EMS knowledge base

• Capable of critical thinking skills to strengthen and grow business relationships
• EMT, Paramedic, or other healthcare related certifications/licensure (NRP,RN, PA)
• 8 years of EMS or healthcare clinical experience
• Functional knowledge in MS Office applications
• Functional knowledge in common EMS software applications
• EMT certification or other clinical certification/license

Nice To Haves

• Paramedic certification
• BS in Management, Healthcare, or Administration
• Equivalent EMS management or healthcare experience
• EMS or healthcare leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Managing and growing the day-to-day relationships with EMS partners that transport into and out of HSA hospitals
• Working closely with the Hospital's EMS Medical Director to support their role and responsibilities
• Actively growing Affiliate services
• Managing other EMS business and relationships within HSA through formal contractual relationships
• Serving as a Liaison to the hospital's Executive Team on all matters involving EMS operations
• Actively working to improve collaboration, integration, and coordination with area EMS services
