About The Position

The EMS Coordinator is a professional caregiver who acts as a liaison for hospital, EMS workers, and other providers of emergency services. This role is responsible for the clinical organization, implementation, and evaluation of paramedics and EMTs under SWGHC medical control. The coordinator must stay current with the knowledge and skills required to perform the job. The scope of practice includes patients from neonates to 100+ years. The position may also involve participation in community projects, events, and educational programs.

Requirements

  • Certified Paramedic (State of Ohio)
  • Bachelors Degree in health-related field
  • EMS Instructor certification
  • Instructor certification for ACLS, BLS, ITLS and PALS
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work to a deadline
  • Ability to respond efficiently and appropriately
  • 4 years of experience in EMS
  • Teaching experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department experience preferred
