About The Position
The EMS Continuing Education Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM), adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role is responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of the Southern Fox Valley EMS Systems Continuing Education Program at Delnor Hospital.
Requirements
- 5 years of EMS emergency care experience.
- One year of medical care teaching experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current IL RN License with ED experience or an EMT-P license.
- CERT ACLS
- CERT BLS via American Heart Association
- CERT PALS
Nice To Haves
- More than 5 years of EMS emergency care experience.
- More than 1 year of medical care teaching experience.
- Previous experience in EMS course coordination
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- ACLS Instructor
- CERT PALS Instructor
- IDPH Lead Instructor
