About The Position
Rice EMS is looking to hire temporary staff to assist in two main areas: EMS education, particularly EMS clinical instructors to serve as preceptors and skills instructors for students in EMT and Advanced EMT courses, and special events staffing. This is an on-campus position where all duties must be performed in-person at the Rice University Campus. The hourly hiring range is $21-$28, with weekly hours varying from 1-20 hours per week. Pay varies based on experience and certification. Non-Exempt (hourly) positions are eligible for overtime.
Requirements
- EMT Certified
- 3 years of 911 EMS experience
- Currently certified and in good standing with Texas Department of State Health Services.
- AEMT Certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of 911 EMS experience
- Paramedic Certification
Responsibilities
- Serve as preceptors for EMS students during clinical rotations in Houston area hospitals.
- Serve as clinical instructors for skills instruction on campus.
- Demonstrate appropriate patient assessment to students in the ER setting.
- Teach hands-on skills such as physical exam, vitals, and interventions.
- Teach EMS documentation.
- Provide EMS Provider services for large-scale campus events.
