Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Eagle’s eClinicalWorks EMR and proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
  • Knowledge of medical practice, patient care, examinations, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medical equipment, medications, safety practices, vital signs, recordkeeping, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, physicians, patients, visitors, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards, confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and security of protected information.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent reading, writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and edit reports and operate computers, office equipment, and related software with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage stress, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively with varying personalities and diverse learners.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative and demonstrate sound, logical, and orderly thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of medical office experience, preferably in an outpatient setting
  • Experience developing educational systems and related training materials to various staff members with differing levels of education and learning styles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver clinical and clerical support training to providers, clinical staff, and clerical staff throughout Eagle in accordance with Eagle standards and established competencies.
  • Provide clinical competency training to staff with incomplete, insufficient, or no previous clinical training, followed by training on “the Eagle way” of doing things.
  • Consult with management and provide expert guidance regarding employee training, development, and learning.
  • Assess employee knowledge, productivity, and efficiency to develop or modify training programs to meet organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain training materials, manuals, workflows, “tips,” process documentation, and updates.
  • Communicate regularly with corporate trainers, site administrators, and department leaders regarding training progress, successes, and roadblocks.
  • Maintain employee training records and compile reports and statistics for review by appropriate stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain clinical competency checklists for trainees.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and make appropriate modifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with Eagle leaders to identify training needs and gaps and coordinate appropriate employee training.
  • Test trainees to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Assist employees with questions and concerns related to performing specific job duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist the CAO, Director of Informatics, and Systems Application Specialist with eCW applications and Microsoft Office support.
  • Assist with updating the pharmacy list in eCW.
  • Develop and maintain written protocols and instructions for assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities to support redundancy and succession planning, with updates provided to the supervisor quarterly.
  • Set up security and permissions within practice management and EMR systems.
  • Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support for eCW applications, including unlocking notes and labs, managing security, and assisting with setup of new providers and staff.
  • Enter eCW tickets and follow up with eCW and staff in a timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduled eCW upgrades and patches, which may require weekend work.
  • Provide support to the Central Medication Prior Authorization Department, Central Document Management Department, and Central Referral Department as needed.
  • Assist with HR Onboarding Orientation as needed.
  • Maintain legible written communication using correct grammar and sentence structure.
  • Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment by assisting colleagues and contributing to departmental success.
