About The Position
Gold Cross EMS Academy offers Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes periodically throughout the year. This position is for consideration in future EMR classes. The EMR course is the first level of training within EMS, requiring at least 80 hours of coursework in addition to clinical time, and is taught in a 4-week period. Upon obtaining licensure as a Georgia EMT-R, you can begin a career in EMS.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old at completion of class.
- Must have a High School Diploma or a GED.
- No felonies. Misdemeanors are on a case-by-case basis.
- Acceptable driving record (in accordance with company policy).
- Must pass a drug test.
- Must pass a physical agility exam to include lifting 125 lbs.
