As an Employment Training Specialist, you'll work one-on-one with individuals who have secured employment, providing job coaching, encouragement, advocacy, and skill development. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a Health & Welfare criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, special education, teaching, counseling, human services, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct job coaching and support to individuals employed in community workplaces.
- Help clients develop vocational skills and workplace success strategies.
- Advocate for clients and support their growth toward greater independence.
- Collaborate with employers, families, and support teams.
- Encourage, motivate, and celebrate client achievements.
