Employment Support Professional - Part Time
About The Position
The Employment Support Professional supports individuals with disabilities to identify employment goals, build workplace skills, and succeed in competitive, integrated jobs. This community-based role includes hands-on coaching, employer collaboration, and timely documentation to meet program and funding requirements. Part time hours may not exceed 30 hours per week. The Arc Madison Cortland is a non-profit agency whose sole purpose lies in the support of people with special needs. We provide leadership in the field of disabilities, supporting people in every manner possible, and developing the necessary human and financial resources to allow all members of our community to achieve their full potential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required with at least two years of vocational experience
- Valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in related field with less than two years of experience in vocational services, supported employment, workforce development, or human services preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete person-centered assessments to identify interests, strengths, and employment goals
- Build relationships with employers and community partners to identify and secure job opportunities
- Provide on-site and off-site job coaching to teach job tasks, promote independence, and support retention
- Develop and implement individualized employment and training plans aligned with person-centered planning
