We are looking for a full-time, hourly Employment Specialist to join our team and support individuals throughout Northern Maine. In this role, you won’t just be filling jobs, you will be changing lives by connecting talented individuals with local businesses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
• At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Must pass all comprehensive state and company background checks.

Nice To Haves

• ACRE Certification and DSP Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A background in sales, or community outreach is a major plus.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to local business owners and managers to discover their staffing needs and collaborate on creating customized job opportunities.
• Match job seekers with positions that fit their unique skill sets, aptitudes, and goals.
• Provide short-term job coaching and direct care to help individuals transition smoothly and succeed in their new roles.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, implement employment plans, and work alongside families, guardians, and agency teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including weekly WROCs and monthly progress reports.
