About The Position
Welcome to CD 6! Our Career Development 6 team provides services in the greater Waterbury and Torrington areas, supporting high school youth and adults with disabilities with their employment goals. This team works primarily with individuals referred through the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services and Board of Education and Services for the Blind, and provides a wide variety of services – from teaching classes on Workplace Readiness and Self-Advocacy, arranging Informational Interviews and work experiences, conducting assessments on work skills, providing job placement services, and coaching and training individuals on the job in a variety of industries and settings. Services are based upon the referral and are typically short term.
Requirements
- Experience supporting high school youth and adults with disabilities
- Experience with individuals referred through the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services and Board of Education and Services for the Blind
Responsibilities
