About The Position

Easterseals, a national nonprofit, has supported individuals with disabilities for over 50 years. Its Career Pathway Connections program offers person-centered employment services for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or hard of hearing, providing ASL-proficient support, workplace accommodations, and assistive technology to remove employment barriers.

Requirements

• Fluent in ASL.
• Driving as an essential function. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be subject to post-offer verification of driving eligibility consistent with company insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with one year of experience, an AA degree with two years of experience, or a high school diploma with three years of experience.
• Expertise in hearing loss and workplace needs, with skills in addressing business requirements and evaluating job performance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, adaptable training approach, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers in overcoming employment barriers, developing skills, and achieving vocational goals through job coaching and employability training.
• Develop and execute personalized employment plans using person-centered strategies.
• Build employer networks and conduct ongoing outreach to promote hiring diversity and program services.
• Offer on-the-job training, support, and counseling related to disability and workplace needs.
• Represent the program at meetings, networking events, and conferences.
