About The Position

The Employment Skills Facilitator delivers high-quality, engaging employability, job-readiness, retention, and career-advancement workshops to groups of clients in both face-to-face and virtual environments. The position supports clients in developing the skills, confidence, motivation, and individualized action plans necessary to obtain and sustain employment. The Employment Skills Facilitator is responsible for providing interactive group instruction, conducting motivational and readiness assessments, delivering individualized coaching, maintaining accurate client documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to measurable employment-readiness and retention outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in facilitation or recruiting required Or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Computer-literate, including Microsoft Office and the ability to enter data into specialized databases

Experience working with individuals impacted by public assistance, justice involvement, homelessness, disabilities , or barriers to employment.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and engage groups of approximately 50 + clients per session and deliver a minimum of 12 workshops per month across in-person and virtual formats.
Deliver professional, interactive, and client-centered workshops that encourage active participation, skill development, employment readiness, and career advancement.
Collaborate with operational and program teams to design, coordinate, and deliver a minimum of 3 distinct workshop types per month, including Mock Interviews, How-To sessions, job-preparation activities, career-readiness exercises, and other workshops responsive to identified client needs.
Maintain and update a weekly workshop calendar and rotate curriculum topics to ensure delivery of a minimum of 4 distinct training modules each month.
Utilize group activities, discussions, role-playing, practical exercises, technology, and other evidence-informed engagement strategies to maintain an ongoing client engagement rate of 80% or higher.
Support program attendance goals by maintaining a target workshop attendance rate of 90% or higher each quarter.
Obtain and utilize client feedback to continuously improve workshop delivery, with a target of 80% or higher positive workshop feedback each quarter.
Provide instruction and coaching designed to improve client confidence and employment readiness, with a target of at least 75% of workshop participants reporting increased confidence and/or job readiness following intervention.
Adjust facilitation strategies and workshop activities based on client learning styles, employment goals, identified barriers, readiness levels, and program needs.
Complete required motivational assessments for 100% of clients enrolled in assigned workshop services within their first two sessions.
Screen and verify 100% of applicable clients for appropriate work authorization requirements prior to employment-related program activities or referrals.
Assess client strengths, employment goals, readiness, barriers, motivation, communication skills, professional presentation, and other factors that may affect successful employment.
Provide individualized coaching sessions to a minimum of 15 clients per month and develop tailored work-readiness action plans addressing identified areas for development.
Monitor client progress toward established readiness goals and modify interventions and action plans when appropriate.
Identify clients requiring additional employment, educational, retention, social-service, or other supportive interventions and coordinate appropriate referrals.
Participate in weekly evaluation, training, case-review, and interdisciplinary team meetings and provide accurate readiness, progress, barrier, and next-step updates for 100% of applicable active clients.
Collaborate with Employment Services, Case Management, Retention, Training, HRA resources, and other operational teams to support coordinated client progression toward employment.
Consistently uphold Fedcap customer-service standards by providing professional, respectful, responsive, equitable, and client-centered services.
Maintain a target client satisfaction rating of 90% or higher through post-intervention evaluations and other established feedback mechanisms.
Deliver or support retention-focused workshops at least quarterly, addressing topics such as workplace expectations, professional communication, conflict resolution, attendance, advancement, financial stability, workplace problem-solving, and long-term career development.
Support a target client attendance rate of at least 70% for scheduled retention workshops.
Collaborate with HRA and appropriate program resources to identify potentially eligible clients for employment-related work support, including SNAP, health insurance, and other applicable benefits or supportive services.
Complete or coordinate appropriate work-support screenings for at least 85% of eligible clients.
Reinforce the importance of employment retention, workplace professionalism, communication with program staff, and continued engagement with available retention services.
Maintain complete, accurate, timely, and professional client records in FedcapCARES, SEAMS, and other required program systems.
Document workshop attendance, assessments, individualized coaching, action plans, referrals, client progress, readiness determinations, interventions, and follow-up activities as required.
Complete required client documentation within 48 hours of each service or intervention, maintaining a target of 100% documentation compliance.
Ensure documentation accurately reflects services provided, client participation, progress, identified barriers, referrals, outcomes, and established next steps.
Utilize approved digital technologies for all virtual workshops, assessments, communications, and other remote services.
Maintain 100% compliance with confidentiality, privacy, information-security, and approved technology requirements for remote and in-person service delivery.
Participate in documentation, technology, quality-assurance, and compliance reviews and promptly address identified deficiencies.
Work collaboratively with program leadership, operational teams, Employment Services, Case Management, Retention, Training, and other internal and external partners to support client outcomes.
Participate actively in required staff meetings, case conferences, professional-development activities, trainings, and supervisory sessions.
Communicate client progress, readiness, barriers, concerns, referrals, and recommended next steps accurately and timely to appropriate team members.
Maintain professional communication and working relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, partners, and stakeholders.
Accept and implement supervisory coaching, performance feedback, quality-assurance findings, and professional-development recommendations.
Meet or exceed established individual, departmental, team, contractual, and program KPIs, including expectations related to workshop delivery, attendance, engagement, assessments, client outcomes, documentation, customer service, compliance, and retention.
Identify opportunities to strengthen orientation, assessment, workshop delivery, client engagement, employment readiness, and retention services.
Utilize client feedback, performance data, observed service gaps, and team input to recommend practical improvements to curriculum and service delivery.
Contribute at least 2 new client-engagement or service-delivery strategies annually designed to improve participation, readiness, client experience, or employment outcomes.
Participate in curriculum development and modification to ensure workshop content remains relevant to client needs, employer expectations, labor-market conditions, and program objectives.
Demonstrate flexibility in implementing new program initiatives, technology, curriculum, procedures, and service-delivery models.
