Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership in your state of primary residence.
  • 5+ years of employment law experience, with a preference for both large law firm and in‑house roles.
  • Strong employment counseling background (more employment than traditional labor), including wage and hour experience.
  • Experience partnering with HR and delivering employee/manager training.
  • Exposure to international employment issues and working with foreign counsel.
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise HR and management on hiring, performance, discipline, termination, accommodations, leaves, and investigations.
  • Counsel on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other sensitive employee matters.
  • Develop and update HR policies, handbooks, and processes, including across international locations with local counsel support.
  • Provide guidance on wage and hour compliance (classification, overtime, timekeeping, pay practices).
  • Design and deliver HR/employee training on key employment topics.
  • Monitor legal developments and update policies, processes, and trainings accordingly.
  • Support commercial and corporate work as needed, including contracts with employment‑related provisions.
  • Contribute to legal templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
