About The Position
Morgan & Morgan is seeking passionate and committed Employment Attorneys to represent employees in workplace disputes. The firm is looking for individuals with strong advocacy skills, empathy, strategic thinking, and the ability to connect with clients facing significant professional challenges. Attorneys will handle sophisticated matters, work with accomplished colleagues, and advocate for individuals during consequential moments in their professional lives. The firm is interested in speaking with attorneys from a broad range of backgrounds and career stages, including those with plaintiff-side employment law experience, transferable litigation experience, or those looking to transition into plaintiff-side employment law. The firm is growing across multiple states including Massachusetts, California, Washington, DC, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan, with encouraged applicants from Boston, LA/Orange County/San Francisco, NYC, Chicago, and Detroit.
Requirements
- Law degree (J.D. / Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA accredited law school
- An active member in good standing of the bar of the state in which based/to which applying
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
Nice To Haves
- Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigation
- Depending on experience, ranges from handling pre-suit responsibilities to performing senior attorney duties once the claim files suit
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
- Guide clients through the case process
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
- Attendance and preparation at depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
