About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is seeking passionate, committed, and motivated attorneys for its growing Employment Law Department. The firm represents individuals against insurance companies, large corporations, and defective goods, united by the mission 'For the People.' This role offers the opportunity to advocate for employees who have faced wrongful termination, harassment, or unfair career decisions. Success in this position requires not only legal knowledge but also judgment, empathy, strategic thinking, and strong client advocacy skills. Attorneys will handle sophisticated matters, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and guide clients through critical moments in their professional lives. The firm is interested in attorneys at all career stages, including those with broader litigation experience or those looking to transition to plaintiff-side employment law. The firm is expanding in multiple states including Massachusetts, California, Washington, DC, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan, with specific interest in applicants based in Boston, LA/Orange County/San Francisco, NYC, Chicago, and Detroit.

Requirements

  • Law degree (J.D. / Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing of the bar of the state in which based/to which applying
  • Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigation
  • Depending on experience, ranges from handling pre-suit responsibilities to performing senior attorney duties once the claim files suit
  • Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
  • Guide clients through the case process
  • Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
  • Attendance and preparation at depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
