About The Position

Assess and adjudicate claims and revenue-related files to ensure compliance with program rules and policies. Conduct investigations, resolve discrepancies, and communicate outcomes to claimants and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in claims assessment, auditing, investigations, or a related analytical role involving financial review and decision making.
  • Working knowledge of rules, regulations, and administrative processes related to benefits or revenue programs.
  • Proficiency with office software and case management or database systems for record keeping and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and willingness to undergo background checks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess eligibility and process claims by verifying documentation, income records, and supporting evidence.
  • Review financial records, payroll, tax and benefit data to identify discrepancies and determine entitlements or obligations.
  • Conduct investigations into suspected overpayments or fraud, including evidence gathering and interviewing relevant parties.
  • Calculate recoveries, arrange repayment plans, and coordinate with other agencies or departments for collection and enforcement actions.
  • Provide clear guidance and information to claimants, employers, and stakeholders regarding program requirements, appeals, and obligations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed case files, reports, and statistical records using case management systems and databases.
