The Employment/Education Specialist acts as the liaison between the client and the employers/representatives from Vocational/Educational services. This role involves developing and maintaining education/job records, assessing clients for placement, and referring them to applicable resources. The specialist ensures one-on-one education and employment support is provided, maintains client records, and offers follow-up contact for successful placement assurance. Additionally, the role includes providing job readiness training, groups, and classes, maintaining HIPAA and ethical standards, and coordinating two annual resource fairs (one for vocational/job resources and one for educational resources). Support for the on-site volunteer program, Word-Order-Day, is also part of the responsibilities. The position emphasizes providing the best customer care, identifying and building upon strengths, supporting clients' steps towards Recovery and Wellness, and fostering an organizational culture that respects diversity and values continuous learning.
