About The Position

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an Employment Coordinator to assist in the coordination and administration of applicants through the employment office. This role involves greeting and assisting candidates with the application process and pre-employment assessments. The Employment Coordinator will be responsible for verifying work history and certifications, informing candidates of manpower needs relative to their craft, and initiating the hiring process upon job offer. Ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate, and preparing the office for business opening are also key responsibilities. This position supports the recruitment team and People Department with various administrative tasks and reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • One to three years of experience in high volume customer service environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Bridge & Road is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet candidates in the lobby, control flow of traffic, assist with applications and pre-employment assessments
  • Inform applicants of manpower needs relative to their craft, verify work history, pre-employment assessment results and craft certifications, and refer qualifying candidates to recruiters
  • Maintain employee-owners records including, I-9 form, W4 form, and employee-owner related documents, ensure all forms are filled out correctly
  • Communicate the status of the employee-owner to recruitment by updating the applicant management database and sending out status notifications, as needed
  • Assist recruiters and People Department with various administrative tasks, as needed
  • Provide ad hoc reports to People Department, as needed
  • Answer telephones and emails in a timely manner, direct phone calls to appropriate parties
  • Recruiting with scheduling of some any kind such as interviews, general onboarding activities, etc.
