Employment Case Manager
About The Position
The Employment Specialist/Case Manager works with Medicaid clients age 16 and older who experience substance use disorders or behavioral or mental health diagnoses that hinder their ability to find employment. The role assesses each client's strengths and interests and supports them in pursuing employment. Working with clients, the case manager helps with resume building, interview skills, and employment skills, including relationship development and managing anxiety, depression, anger, and other challenges to maintain employment successfully. The position serves as an advocate, case manager, and skills coach.
Requirements
- One of the following qualification pathways: a high school diploma or GED and two years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, or a related field; CESP certification and one year of relevant or demonstrated experience; or CRC certification and one year of relevant or demonstrated experience.
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients' strengths and interests to support their employment goals.
- Help clients build resumes and develop interview skills.
- Coach clients in employment skills, including relationship development and strategies for managing anxiety, depression, anger, and other challenges.
- Advocate for and provide case management and skills coaching to clients.
