About The Position

We partner with people with disabilities to provide support services, develop inclusive housing, and create spaces where people feel genuinely connected—not just accommodated. The Employment Advisor provides job coaching, retention services, and other employment services based on a Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Working with an interdisciplinary team, they deliver wraparound supports to help people with disabilities retain employment and improve work skills. The Employment Advisor conducts job development and job search activities tailored to each person's unique interests and strengths, provides individualized follow-along supports, facilitates both virtual and in-person job coaching, and ensures goals are developed and benchmarks are met. They may also provide transportation to and from work and must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience working with people with disabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with persons served, their families, coworkers, employers, and other stakeholders.
Basic computer skills and proven ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and other technology tools to support people with disabilities.
A valid Maryland driver’s license with no significant traffic violations.
Ability to complete all required Fello and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) trainings.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in workforce development programs.
