About The Position

NEP is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor, investigator, and strategic partner in fostering a collaborative, compliant, and high-performing work environment. This role involves leading and managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution efforts. The specialist will partner with managers, supervisors, HR Business Partners, and legal counsel to address employee concerns and drive positive outcomes. They will provide expert guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and workplace best practices, while also implementing human resources projects to further the Company’s business goals. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives, delivering training on various workplace conduct topics, analyzing workplace trends for proactive engagement and risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive employee relations, labor relations, HR, or employment law experience.
  • Strong experience conducting complex workplace investigations and resolving sensitive employee issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA, and related regulations.
  • Experience supporting both union and non-union workforces.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence leaders, manage sensitive situations, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities
