Requirements

  • 2 years of employee relations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Employee Relations Expertise: Applies employee relations & accommodation principles to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant issue resolution.
  • Investigation & Documentation: Conducts thorough investigations and produces clear, accurate findings and recommendations.
  • Communication & Influence: Communicates with clarity, builds trust, and guides managers through sensitive or complex matters.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Identifies trends, assesses risks, and provides actionable insights that inform proactive interventions.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Evaluates situations objectively and makes sound, well-reasoned decisions in high-risk or ambiguous scenarios.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR cases, providing timely and consistent responses to employee relations inquiries and escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct investigations documenting findings and providing recommendations on cases.
  • Provide clear guidance to managers and employees on Company policies, standards, and employee relations best practices.
  • Coordinate, track, and follow up on required compliance training programs, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to update and maintain training materials in alignment with new laws and policy changes.
  • Manage personnel file requests, subpoena responses, unemployment claims, and other legal documentation requests while maintaining confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Maintain organized, compliant records in accordance with HR data retention and documentation requirements.
  • Lead the quarterly employee relations review process, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of insights for HR leadership.
  • Identify patterns in case types, performance actions, turnover, and compliance issues to inform proactive interventions.
  • Recommend enhancements to policies, procedures, and workflows based on ER trends, case themes, and organizational needs.
  • Work closely with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations partners to ensure alignment on ER issues, investigations, litigations, emerging risks, and recommended actions.
  • Support communications related to policy updates, compliance reminders, and ER programs to strengthen organizational consistency.
  • Apply sound judgment and employment law knowledge to reduce organizational risk and ensure fair, consistent employee treatment, escalating issues to the Legal Department where appropriate.
