About The Position

The Employee and Labor Relations Specialist will provide a broad range of professional employee and labor relations activities including but not limited to: employee consulting, training, conflict resolution, complaint investigation, policy and process development, application, enhancement and interpretation, and the preparation and delivery of related reports recommendations. They will work directly with the Union on all union related matters and will be responsible for the performance assessment process, as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Workers Compensation administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Ability to develop, implement and interpret policies and processes
  • Ability to adapt and apply guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures to all programmatic aspects
