The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for coordinating employee relations services, including handling employee complaints, conducting investigations of alleged employee misconduct, managing the termination and/or nonrenewal of employment, and interpreting/administering the hospital policies. The Employee Relations Specialist in Employee Relations serves as the contact person for managers and staff regarding employee relations issues. Duties will include counseling employees and managers to resolve conflict, and interpret policy, procedures, federal and state laws regarding employment. The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for conducting investigations related to employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and sexual misconduct cases. Creating comprehensive investigative summary reports. Tracking the activity of the Employee Relations and reporting the statistics monthly to the Director. Other areas of responsibility include maintaining accurate employee relations statistics, educating managers on employment law and hospital policies and keeping management informed of potential problems in the organization.
