About The Position

The Stephen C. O’Connell Center, UF’s premier multi-purpose arena and home to Gator Athletics, concerts, and major events, seeks a motivated student or OPS worker for an Employee Relations Intern role for Fall 2026. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for students pursuing careers in HR, sport or event management, or business.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with careful attention to detail
  • Comfort handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a venue environment where schedules shift around events
  • Interest or coursework in HR, business, or related fields
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Canva/Adobe experience preferred
  • Experience with Canva or the Adobe Suite is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations for a large, event-driven workforce by: Assisting with onboarding and orientation
  • Maintaining documentation and HR compliance
  • Coordinating staff communications
  • Supporting engagement and recognition initiatives
