About The Position
The Stephen C. O’Connell Center, UF’s premier multi-purpose arena and home to Gator Athletics, concerts, and major events, seeks a motivated student or OPS worker for an Employee Relations Intern role for Fall 2026. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for students pursuing careers in HR, sport or event management, or business.
Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with careful attention to detail
- Comfort handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a venue environment where schedules shift around events
- Interest or coursework in HR, business, or related fields
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Canva/Adobe experience preferred
- Experience with Canva or the Adobe Suite is preferred
Responsibilities
- Support employee relations for a large, event-driven workforce by: Assisting with onboarding and orientation
- Maintaining documentation and HR compliance
- Coordinating staff communications
- Supporting engagement and recognition initiatives
