About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their Employee Relations team in the role of Employee Relations Associate. The Employee Relations (ER) Associate provides a broad range of professional employee relations activities including employee consulting, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and triaging high-level employee relations concerns to the appropriate ER Investigator. This role involves interacting with all levels of leadership regarding coaching, legal compliance, and discipline. The Associate works with significant independent discretion in decision-making and execution of responsibilities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. They collaborate closely with the broader Employee Relations team and regional HR teams to consistently deliver high-quality customer service and provide professional representation of the department. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members to understand their concerns, counseling and providing guidance and support, resolving issues, understanding company policies and procedures, facilitating communication between leaders and team members, and ensuring company policies are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of proven work experience in Human Resources.
  • 1-3 years of employee relations experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment law (e.g. FLSA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.).
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights for improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
