About The Position

This role involves the manufacturing and machining of parts according to drawings, with a focus on milling, cylindrical grinding, and eroding processes. The position requires independent operation of machines, creating CAM programs, performing quality control, and managing maintenance tasks. Responsibilities also include entering dimensional changes in drawings and ensuring the necessary quality and quantity of produced parts.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in Injection mold, Blow molding, or compression molding assembly and disassembly of mold tools and repair of mold tools.
• Hot runners experience is a must.
• Proficiency with tools: Calipers, Micrometer, depth mic, Indicator, drive pin punches, 6” and 12” scale, layout scribes.
• Ability to measure and work in Metric and SAE.
• Ability to identify different parts of a blueprint and understand where to obtain needed data.
• Comfortable working in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
• METAL working experience with Knee mills, Surface grinders, Engine lathe, and Polishing molds to a SPI finish #1.
• Experience in a mold or die shop environment, including taping holes, repair of damaged holes, welding, and repair of parting lines.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and machining of parts according to drawings using milling, cylindrical grinding, and eroding.
• Create CAM programs for machining.
• Perform independent quality control of milled and ground components.
• Create programs for editing in eroding processes.
• Manage the electrode store.
• Independently operate machines.
• Carry out/cooperate with maintenance work on machines according to specifications.
• Enter dimensional changes in drawings.
• Independently ensure the necessary quality and quantity of parts.
