About The Position

The Employee Health Medical Office Assistant is a diverse clerical and clinical role that serves as the customer service liaison and assists the Nursing Staff in onboarding post offer candidates to UHS. New candidates and employees are greeted with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our candidates and employees with a seamless positive experience while following demonstrating and exhibiting our UHS Values. In a clinical role the medical assistant performs new hire and employee patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a medical office setting, including collection of patient information and data, patient interactions, or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Previous experience in a walk-in/primary care/specialty care setting.
  • Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA).
