About The Position

The Employee Health RN works at the Immanuel Campus near 72nd and Sorenson Parkway, safeguarding employees’ well-being and supporting a healthy workplace. The role delivers occupational health services, including pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and health education. The RN uses clinical expertise, organizational and critical-thinking skills, compassion, and a proactive approach to promote employee health and safety.

The nurse assesses workers during pre-placement health screenings, recognizes symptoms and refers employees as appropriate, performs testing and initiates interventions and referrals, and documents services. The role also maintains the confidentiality of employee health records and collaborates with Infection Prevention, Human Resources, Occupational Health, and Workers’ Compensation to support regulatory compliance and organizational policies.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows practice in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess workers’ health during pre-placement screenings, recognize symptoms, and refer as appropriate.
• Provide oversight for scope of work in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
• Perform testing procedures and initiate appropriate interventions and referrals.
• Document services provided.
• Maintain the confidentiality of employee health records.
• Collaborate with Infection Prevention, Human Resources, Occupational Health, and Workers’ Compensation to meet regulatory, compliance, and CommonSpirit Health policy requirements.
• Provide occupational health services, including immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and employee health education.
