About The Position

The Employee Experience & Insights Supervisor is responsible for supporting the development of employee experience and listening strategies by designing and administering internal research (e.g. surveys, interviews, focus groups), and leveraging advanced statistical methods and analytics to generate insights and guide people & culture initiatives. This position partners with stakeholders to understand trends and inform data-based decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in organizational research design.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or be a current employee with a minimum of three years of UPS experience
  • Must live in the same geographical area as the job or be willing to self-relocate to the area
  • Must be willing and available to report to the corporate office in Atlanta on a hybrid basis
  • Must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Must have certification and/or work experience in Industrial-Organizational (I/O) psychology, Organizational Development (OD), organizational behavior, HR Management (HRM) or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates research questions and develops hypotheses by leveraging external research and benchmarking data
  • Designs surveys, interviews, and focus groups by applying quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Understands validity, reliability, confidentiality, and responsible interpretation
  • Possesses strong statistical reasoning and the ability to distinguish signal from noise when working with large employee datasets and demographic structures
  • Experience with driver analysis, segmentation, trends, open-text analysis, and outcome measures
  • Able to integrate employee listening signals with workforce and business indicators
  • Turns analysis into a clear business narrative by translating complicated data, results, and organizational theory into simple language to tell a compelling story and drive action
  • Distills complex findings for executives, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders while building productive partnerships
  • Connects findings to practical decisions, risks, tradeoffs, and actions, while also being able to communicate limitations and avoid overstating the evidence
  • Ensures data is structured for broader ecosystem (portable and applicable across enterprise)
  • Creates data visualization and executive dashboard design based on text and sentiment analysis
  • Understands the responsible use of employee data and AI and is comfortable learning new analytical tools
  • Diagnoses the underlying business question before beginning research
  • Demonstrates executive presence and credibility across organizational levels by recommending solutions that deliver value
  • Manages concurrent, global workstreams with changing priorities and short deadlines by establishing a clear scope, milestones, governance, decision rights, and risk mitigation
  • Documents processes and builds repeatable, scalable approaches
