About The Position

The BJU Press Employee Experience Specialist shares a passion for people and hospitality. In this role, you support a high-quality employee experience by organizing events and programs including new employee onboarding and orientation, employee celebrations, and service awards.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, education, event coordination, or administration support
  • Confident and professional in engaging with members of management
  • Strong project and time management skills

  • Skill in data management and analysis, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support overarching people strategies by influencing and delivering key tactics including employee gifts, programs, and events.
  • Plan and manage event logistics at the direction of the Director of Culture & Engagement
  • Manage the internal BJU Press event calendar
  • Create and communicate event schedules and plans and pertinent information to employees, managers, and key points of contact
  • Participate in team settings and lead meetings that include members of the following internal functions: Culture & Engagement, Marketing Events, Public Relations, and Marketing Research & Analysis
  • Liaise with department managers to deliver a high-quality new employee experience
  • Lead the new employee orientation program
  • Manage procurement and purchasing for employee gifts and giveaways
  • Support employee recognition programs
  • Support scheduling and equipment needs for training events
  • Manage BJU Press charitable events
  • Work within the financial budget as determined by the Director of Culture & Engagement
  • Submit expense reports to the Director of Culture & Engagement
  • Support the key Culture & Engagement business functions, as well as change management efforts
