HUB Great Plains is growing — and we're looking for an Employee Benefits Sales Leader, based in our Omaha office, to help us build and lead a high-performing sales team across the Great Plains region, covering Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in employee benefits sales, brokerage, or insurance — with demonstrated leadership or team management experience.
  • A proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits products, market trends, and compliance requirements.
  • State life and health insurance license (or ability to obtain) required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial — you don't wait to be told what to do.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Professional designations such as CEBS or GBA a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and develop a team of Employee Benefits Sales Executives across the Great Plains region.
  • Drive new business growth through prospecting, relationship-building, and a disciplined sales process.
  • Serve as a player-coach — maintaining your own book of business while mentoring and supporting your team.
  • Partner with Account Management and Service teams to deliver an exceptional client experience and ensure long-term retention.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with HUB Great Plains growth goals.
  • Represent HUB professionally in the community through industry associations, networking events, and civic engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify market opportunities, support M&A integration, and strengthen HUB's competitive position.
  • Travel periodically from our Omaha office across the five-state region to support your team and build client relationships.
