About The Position

This role is ultimately responsible for all workflow and customer service standards compliance for Service Teams. The Employee Benefits Market Leader will provide leadership to team members through consistent meetings to provide ongoing training and development opportunities, recognize opportunities for growth, and assist in their expansion of industry knowledge to better serve clients. This role will drive results and provide governance of strategic initiatives, working closely with the Leadership Team to support and develop agency initiatives. The leader will foster positive working relationships with Clients, Producers, and Client Advisor teams, manage the P&L for the market, and provide updates to the Leadership Team. They will empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, own vendor/partner relationships by market, and own EPIC metrics for measuring revenue. The role involves partnering with Producers to meet clients and bring in new business, and actively participating in IMA management meetings. People management responsibilities include strategic assignment and reassignment of business with Account Executives, day-to-day coaching and management of the team, handling escalated client, carrier, and accounting issues, managing PTO approval, performance reviews, timecards, and back-up plans. The leader will also serve as the gatekeeper for complaints/challenges and E&O related matters. Additionally, the role includes managing a small book of business and building relationships with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of insurance industry experience
  • A state Life and Health license and will fulfill continuing education requirements to retain licensing
  • Prior management experience with demonstrated ability to drive results in a team-oriented workplace
