About The Position

This position is an entry-level role in our consulting team that is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis on medical and pharmacy claims data to identify trends and key indicators that ultimately result in actionable, data-based, advice for HUB’s clients. The role requires an analytically minded, driven individual who strives for excellence and can deliver actionable insights for clients. The analyst will work in a team of consultants who are experts in data and analytics, as well as the health care insurance industry.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills
  • A high comfort level with supporting your point of view with quantitative information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • An interest in working with clients in a professional environment
  • Demonstrated collaboration and leadership
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, doing what it takes to serve our clients effectively
  • Desire to win and go above-and-beyond for your clients and co-workers
  • Curiosity and willingness to ask questions and seek to understand
  • Passion for details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing reporting used by HUB clients to understand how their health care costs and utilization are tracking relative to expectations
  • Analyzing health care claims data to provide clients with an understanding of what is driving their costs and what actions they might need to take in to manage their health care plans
  • Coordinating annual processes across HUB functions that relate to annual health care planning and renewals for HUB clients
  • Collaborating with internal Benefit Consultants to understand and address specific questions and needs of our clients
  • Supporting other team members to ensure all the work gets done on time
  • Developing expertise in health care insurance and the industry as a whole, with support for pursuing industry certifications
