About The Position

Stinson LLP is seeking an experienced associate attorney with three or more years of experience in Employee Benefits (ERISA) to join our Minneapolis office. The position offers substantial opportunities to work with the firm's employment, corporate finance, financial institutions and general business practice groups. The role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to manage a challenging workload. We are relentlessly committed to client service and look for candidates who share that commitment.

Requirements

  • Excellent research, writing, analytical skills, and academics
  • Three or more years of employee benefits and executive compensation experience in a law firm, a consulting firm, or as in-house counsel
  • A background in qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ESOPS, health and welfare plans, deferred compensation plans, and related ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and IRC Section 409A experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A high degree of maturity
  • A willingness to learn
  • Active Minnesota license or eligibility to become admitted to the Minnesota bar is required.

  • A degree or background in tax, finance or business is preferred.
